BORROWING PLAYERS – At times, teams will not have a full quota of six players, for a number of reasons. The following rule is in place at the Shaftesbury League:

—– Teams may borrow players from any team to get up to the number of SIX players – they cannot borrow players to then have seven or more (subs).

—– For every player a team borrows from another team, they will start a goal down. For example if a team borrows two players as they have four players, they will then start 2-0 down.

—– At times, SoccerPitch help teams who are short by contacting the teams who are playing before or after them. It is the responsibility of the team who has been given help, to inform the match night organiser.

—– The dedicated match night organiser must be informed BEFORE kick off by the TEAM BORROWING – he will then go over to the pitch and check the correct procedures have been followed. He will then inform BOTH TEAMS and the referee of how many goals the team borrowing will be penalised by. This is also the time that the other team should raise any concerns if they notice another player being borrowed which hasn’t been mentioned to the match night organiser.

—– If it is found that a team has borrowed players and the above rules haven’t been adhered to – then the team who has broken the rules will automatically be given a 5-0 loss.

OVERHEAD HEIGHT – The ball is ALLOWED over head height (six foot)

NOT ALLOWED OVER HEAD HEIGHT – From kick ins and from GK distribution – using his hands or feet. Legitimate saves are allowed over head height ——————– Corners ARE ALLOWED over head

This rule is in place to limit the number of aerial duels and to ensure the ball doesn’t go out of play as often

FOOTWEAR – The following are allowed only: ALL FOOTBALL BOOTS – including: plastic moulds, blades and studs

—– NO TRAINERS OR ASTRO TRAINERS OR ANY OTHER FLAT SOLED FOOTWEAR

If a player is not wearing the correct footwear, they can not play, there are no exceptions

DISCIPLINE – A Zero Tolerance Policy is in place at all SoccerPitch Leagues. View all info via INFO – ZERO TOLERANCE (via LEAGUE INFO AND RULES)

———————————————–

LATE SHOW – We operate a Late Show System at all of our Leagues. If the referee is ready to start and kick off time is reached – one team has paid their fees and are ready – and one hasn’t – the ref will start his clock and the team that isn’t ready will go one goal down. For every further two minutes they are not ready, the ref will award a further goal
